We are now moving into the next chapter of our course. This chapter focuses on the four Native groups (Beothuk, Mi'kmaq, Inuit and Inuit), the four main European groups, (English, French, Irish and Scottish) and the smaller immigrant groups, (Jewish, Lebanese and Chinese). Students will be given time in class to work on a reading activity. PLEASE NOTE: An work that is not finished in class is ALWAYS HOMEWORK.

Students have been exploring the meaning of history. They have completed their first assignment entitled "Story Telling Time".  Story Telling Time I have been truly amazed at the stories they have told. Now that us teachers have been shown how to set up and use the new marks program I will shortly enter students marks for this assignment. 

Chapter 1: Quiz

We are now finished Chapter 1 and I have assigned a quiz. 8-1 completed theirs last week and 8-2 and 8-3 will complete theirs tomorrow. Students should know all the terms in bold, the 7 sources of historical information and be able to explain "Why can it be said that history is always changing?"
